Odefey, Witte, Wall & Villafranca, LLP (OWWV) proudly announces that partner Carly W. Wall has earned Board Certification in Family Law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS). This prestigious designation is held by less than 1% of Texas attorneys, with only 863 board-certified family law attorneys among the state’s 113,771 practicing lawyers.
Wall becomes the region’s only practicing Board Certified Family Law attorney, highlighting her exceptional expertise and dedication to serving families in the Victoria, Calhoun, and Greater Crossroads area.
“This certification represents the highest level of recognition for family law expertise in Texas,” Anne Marie Odefey, Partner at OWWV. “Carly’s achievement reflects both her profound commitment to family law and our firm’s dedication to providing exceptional legal services to our community.”
The certification process demands rigorous qualifications, including:
* A minimum of five years of full-time law practice as an active State Bar of Texas member
* Three years of extensive Family Law experience with at least 35% involvement in family law matters
* Documented experience in contested trials, court appearances, and mediation
* Completion of 60 hours of specialized continuing legal education
* Successful completion of a comprehensive six-hour examination
* Peer reviews from judges and attorneys
Wall, who joined OWWV in 2010, brings a wealth of experience to her family law practice, handling matters ranging from complex divorces to custody arrangements and premarital agreements. A graduate of Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where she graduated cum laude, Wall serves on the State Bar of Texas Grievance Committee, District 11, and actively participates in various community organizations.
